Goldwell Dualsenses Rich Repair Serum - Review

Hi Everyone!

So today we’re talking hair - more specifically, hair serum.

I have curly, frizz prone hair. I use & like the John Frieda Frizz-Ease range & use a lot of these products in my haircare routine. So when the Goldwell Dualsenses Rich Repair 6 Effects Serum For Dry And Stressed Hair* (that’s a mouthful & a half!) arrived on my doorstep, I wasn’t overly excited to try it as I’m wary of anything that promises instant results. How wrong I was!

The serum claims that it:
‘Instantly penetrates. Instantly provides 6 repair benefits: shine, smoothness, bounce, frizz-free hair, healthy ends and reduced hair breakage. Highly concentrated. Regenerative IntraLipidComplex with Pashmina Silk Proteins and Instant Microfluid Technology.’

Now, my hair is in good condition. Although I dye it every 3-4 weeks (I’m finding more & more grey hairs!) it is neither dry, nor prone to breakage. It is however, curly & prone to frizz. This is my main hair concern. I’m growing my hair & am getting a good length, but to maintain this & hopefully get it longer still, I know I need to keep my ends healthy.

Application Instructions:
‘Distribute a few pumps through towel-dried or dry hair, do not rinse.’
Because of my long, thick, curly hair I started with one pump concentrated on the ends of my towel dried hair & two pumps to cover the main body of my hair. After a few weeks, this reduced to one pump on my ends & one for the rest of my hair.

On first application I noticed that my hair felt smoother & softer. I needed less styling product, as I didn’t have to contend with frizz in the same way! My hair feels like it’s had a face-lift (I’m assuming this is the bounce they’re referring to in the claim!).

One pumps worth of the Rich Repair Serum

The Goldwell Dualsenses Rich Repair Serum (I wasn’t going to type the whole name again!) is £12 for 100ml & can be purchased from HQhair.

I love this serum! I previously used the John Frieda Frizz Ease 6 Effects Serum (£6.29 for 50ml) & never thought anything would beat it! The cost per ml is comparable &, once I’ve finished my Frizz Ease backup, I’ll definitely be purchasing the Goldwell Serum!

What do you look for in a serum?
Do you have a haircare brand you’re loyal to?

Tania Xx

I'd definitely recommend it Rachel! Never thought anything would replace my John Frieda - maybe I need to start branching out a little! Xx
