Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette - Review

Hi Everyone!

I pocked up the Urban Decay Vice 3 palette on Monday when it launched. As you might have guessed, I'm a fan of Urban Decay, in particular their eyeshadows & have a review of the Vice Ltd palette here.

The palette comes with 20 eyeshadows, each of which is exclusive. I've only seen one of these eyeshadows before - Last Sin - which features in the Vice Ltd palette.

The main casing of the palette is slimmer than previous Vice palettes by a lids worth. It has a reflective casing, with coloured waves running across the middle. I really like the jewelled 'UD' that has featured on each of the Vice palettes so far, as well as the 15th Anniversary palette. The Vice 3 palette contains the work Vice instead of the 'UD' we've seen before & the lettering seems smaller & less pronounced. The case has a magnetic closure rather than the clasp we've seen before. The packaging is nice in its self, but doesn't fit in with the other three palettes (which is going to bug me!). The Vice 3 palette comes with a double ended brush & a pouch that could be used as a tablet case or makeup bag.

Here is the layout of the palette. I like that there are both neutral & more vibrant shades that are laid out in a 'user friendly' way.

So now to the shades - I've included close up pictures of the shades in each of the five columns, followed by their swatches.

As with all Urban Decay shadows, the quality is fantastic! They feel soft & buttery & the colours have with great pigmentation. I like the range of shades that are included & think it has something to offer everyone - there are enough colours for the more extravagant to create looks with, but not too many that those liking a more natural eye look would be scared of.

Will you be picking up this palette?
What are your favourite shades?

Tania Xx

It is amazing - I can never get enough of the Urban Decay palettes! I like the casing, but don't understand why it's different, I feel it would have made more sense to use this as the packaging for the Vice Ltd & use the Vice Ltd packaging for the Vice 3. Then size wise & lettering 1, 2 & 3 would be the same & the Ltd would be different! I'm over thinking this aren't I!?! Xx

Thanks Alondra! Sonic is a lovely colour & I don't think Urban Decay have anything similar either. It's going to be a great shade for the A/W months! Xx
